A rejected photo from US funded Afghan Media Research Center (AMRC). A devotional collage combining three separate Pakistani prints arranged on a pinboard. At the center is a peacock-feather motif surrounding the names of the Panjtan Pak (Muhammad, Fatimah, Ali, Hasan, and Husayn), rendered in bright neon hues. To the left, a flowerpot emerges from a calligraphic base of Qur’anic text, while the lower panel features poetic verse wrapped in roses. This layered display reflects a vernacular aesthetic of Shi'a spiritual art, where deep reverence meets mass-produced intimacy.
Exhibited in “Spasial Program” at SculptureCenter, New York, June 18 –July 28, 2025.
