150 Issues of Tehzeeb-E-Niswan (1926-1938, British India)
Tehzeeb-e-Niswan, an Urdu magazine edited by Sayyid Mumtaz Ali and Muhammadi Begum, ran from 1898 to 1949, providing a record of the social and cultural milieu of Muslim women in South Asia at the turn of the twentieth century. This compilation of 150 issues from 1926 to 1938 offers a comprehensive look at their experiences and viewpoints. The publication featured articles, poetry, embroidery, drawings, letters, and reporting on important events, social issues, and economic concerns. It was a groundbreaking effort that encouraged literacy and education among women of the subcontinent.
