Printed Egyptian film poster for The Black Sunglasses (النظارة السوداء), directed by Hassan al-Imam and adapted from a story by Ihsan Abdel Quddous. Starring Nadia Lotfi, the film tells the story of a glamorous but emotionally fractured woman who wears black sunglasses to hide from her past. The poster’s bold color palette and seductive imagery capture the film’s noir sensibility and 1960s Egyptian cosmopolitanism. A striking example of Arabic pulp design and the golden era of Cairo’s cinematic studios.
