Tehzeeb-e-Niswan
Tehzeeb-e-Niswan, an Urdu periodical for Muslim women of South Asia, was initiated in 1898 in Lahore by Sayyid Mumtaz Ali and his wife Muhammadi Begum. Renowned for championing women's rights within Islamic discourse and advancing women's education, it offered a platform for women to publish reformative articles. Muhammadi Begum herself was a notable editor of the magazine. This rare collection of 150 issues of the magazine from 1926 to 1928 is a significant archival treasure, Illuminating the societal and cultural dynamics of Muslim women in South Asia during the early 20th century.
