A hand-painted railway sign for the legendary Khyber Mail, one of Pakistan’s oldest and most iconic train routes, originally launched in 1920 to connect Karachi and Peshawar. The bold red typography and black enamel background recall the aesthetics of state infrastructure and nostalgia for the golden era of rail travel.
Exhibited in “Spasial Program” at SculptureCenter, New York, June 18 –July 28, 2025.
