Original double-sided U.S. psychological operations leaflet produced during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Printed in Dari and Pashto, the leaflet urges Afghans to expel foreign terrorists and links Taliban rule to the suffering of Afghan women and children.

Provenance: Airdropped leaflet acquired from the family of a U.S. military commander.
Translation:
Front: “Drive out the foreign terrorists.”
Back: “Is this the future you want for your women and children?”
Imagery:
The front shows Taliban or al-Qaeda fighters marked by targeting circles, visually identifying them as threats to be removed. The reverse shows a Taliban figure confronting or beating women in burqas, with a child in the foreground, connecting Taliban rule to public intimidation and the suffering of Afghan families.
Objective:
To encourage Afghan civilians to reject and expel foreign terrorist fighters while associating Taliban rule with violence against women, children, and civilian life.
