Original double-sided U.S. psychological operations leaflet produced during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Printed in Arabic, the leaflet asks Iraqi soldiers who should have the authority to decide the fate of their families, contrasting Saddam Hussein’s continued life in Baghdad with the survival needs of Iraqi families.

Provenance: Airdropped leaflet acquired from the family of a U.S. military commander.
Translation:
Front: “Who rules you more? Your families or the regime? Turn to your homes and to your families.”
Back: “He lives in Baghdad and in luxury, while your families struggle to stay alive.”
Imagery: Front shows a collage of Iraqi civilians, families, and soldiers behind Arabic text asking who has the greater claim over the soldier’s loyalty. Back contrasts Saddam Hussein in a formal setting with an Iraqi mother holding a child, emphasizing the difference between regime privilege and civilian hardship.
Objective: To persuade Iraqi soldiers to abandon loyalty to Saddam Hussein’s regime by appealing to family responsibility, survival, and the welfare of their households.
Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean blue printing, light handling wear, and minor surface marks. Text and imagery remain clearly legible.
