Dubai, UAE — Khajistan Madrasa presents Khajistan Bazaar, a one-day public gathering at Bayt AlMamzar on Sunday, January 25, from 3 to 7pm. The bazaar brings together printed matter, books, stickers, patches, and apparel from the Khajistan archive and press, offering an informal afternoon of browsing, conversation, and exchange.
Khajistan focuses on overlooked printed cultures from the Greater Middle East, South Asia, and their diasporas. The bazaar format reflects this ethos: tactile, open, and conversational, inviting visitors to engage directly with materials that move between cinema, politics, erotics, subculture, and everyday life.
The event is open to the public and will conclude after dusk with an invite-only screening of Showgirls of Pakistan. Attendance for the screening is limited; those interested may DM @khajistan.archive to request access.
Hosted at Bayt AlMamzar in Deira, the Khajistan Bazaar is conceived as a casual meeting point rather than a formal exhibition, a space to linger, talk, and encounter printed matter outside institutional settings.
