Khajistan Press Cancels Karachi Reading of Karachi After Midnight, Vol. 1

by Khajistan Cultural Desk

Karachi, Pakistan — Khajistan Press announces the cancellation of its scheduled reading of Karachi After Midnight, Vol. 1, which was set to take place in Karachi on January 27. The decision was made due to safety concerns arising from circumstances beyond the organizers’ control.

The response to the event was significant and deeply encouraging. However, Khajistan ultimately determined that the reading could not proceed unless the safety of all participants, collaborators, and attendees could be fully ensured.

Khajistan Press extends its sincere gratitude to Kitabghar and Cinema 73 for their generosity, solidarity, and willingness to host the event. Their support remains deeply appreciated.

“We recognize that this cancellation will be disappointing to many,” Khajistan press shared in an instagram post.

Khajistan remains committed to returning to Karachi in the future and to continuing its work across the region.

Inshallah, we will be back soon.
