Historical context
Censorship relaxed with the revolutionary movement of the late 1970s. Soon after the revolution of February 1979 the Tehran dailies Ettelaat and Kayhan were taken over by religious groups, and in the summer of 1980 a decree required printing houses to verify the seal of the Ministry of Islamic Guidance before printing anything. These issues run from 1972 to 1980.
