    Original double-sided U.S. psychological operations leaflet produced during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Printed in Dari and Pashto, the leaflet calls on Afghans to reconcile with one another and support peace after the fall of the Taliban government.

    Provenance:  Surplus copy retained outside field distribution. Acquired from the personal materials of an unnamed U.S. military servicemember. Never airdropped or field-distributed.

    Translation:
    Front: “The time has come for all Afghans to reconcile among themselves.”
    Back: “The time has come for Afghans to make peace among themselves.”

    Objective:
    To encourage Afghan civilians to support reconciliation, internal peace, and national unity during the early post-Taliban period of Operation Enduring Freedom.

    Imagery:
    Both sides show a black-and-white illustration of two armed Afghan men standing together, visually framing reconciliation as a shared Afghan responsibility rather than an externally imposed demand.
