Metal panel reproduction of the 1977 Iranian poster for Dar Emtedad Shab (در امتداد شب, Throughout the Night), directed and written by Parviz Sayyad and produced by Bahman Farmanara. It stars Googoosh as Parvaneh and Saeed Kangarani as Babak, whose clandestine romance amid Tehran’s cabaret nightlife unfolds against themes of alienation and societal change. Banned after the 1979 Revolution for its candid portrayal of mixed-gender socializing and extramarital intimacy, only a heavily edited cut was ever publicly screened under new morality codes. 

Exhibited in “Spasial Program” at SculptureCenter, New York, June 19 – July 28, 2025.
