    Original Iraqi regime loyalty portrait card printed in Arabic, likely produced during the Saddam Hussein period after the 1991 modification of the Iraqi flag. The card pairs a formal portrait of Saddam Hussein with the Iraqi national flag and a devotional caption asking God to protect and watch over him.

    Provenance: Acquired from the family of a U.S. military commander.

    Objective: To circulate an image of Saddam Hussein as head of state and reinforce official loyalty through the pairing of his portrait with the Iraqi national flag and a devotional caption invoking divine protection.

    Translation:
    Front: Formal portrait card of Saddam Hussein.

    Back: “Mr. President, Leader Saddam Hussein, may God protect him and watch over him.”

    Imagery: Front shows a formal color portrait of the named Iraqi leader seated in an ornate chair. Back shows the Iraqi flag with the phrase “Allahu Akbar” between the stars, with a caption below naming Saddam Hussein and invoking divine protection.

    Objective: To express loyalty to Saddam Hussein and reinforce official state symbolism through the pairing of his portrait with the Iraqi flag and a devotional caption.

    Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean color printing, light handling wear, minor edge wear, and faint surface marks.
