    Printed as an invitation card from the Joint Forces Command, the leaflet invites Iraqi soldiers to cross over and enjoy “full Arab hospitality”, with the promise that they will be sent home once the war is over. From the papers of a U.S. service member.

    Historical context

    Coalition psychological operations in the Gulf War combined air-strike warnings with appeals to surrender. The invitation card offered Iraqi troops a pictured alternative to remaining in their positions.
