    Original double-sided U.S. military code of conduct card produced during Operation Desert Shield. Printed in English, the card pairs the 101st Airborne Division insignia with the U.S. Armed Forces Code of Conduct for personnel deployed during the Gulf War buildup.

    Provenance: Airdropped leaflet acquired from the family of a U.S. military commander.

    Translation:
    Front: “Desert Shield. Airborne.”

    Back: “Code of Conduct.” The back reproduces the six articles of the U.S. military Code of Conduct, including statements on duty, resistance to surrender, conduct as a prisoner of war, and loyalty to the United States.

    Imagery: Front shows the 101st Airborne Division “Airborne” shoulder sleeve insignia with eagle head below the words “Desert Shield.” Back shows a spread-winged eagle above the printed Code of Conduct.

    Objective: To provide deployed U.S. military personnel with a compact conduct and survival reference, reinforcing duty, resistance, discipline, and prisoner-of-war obligations during Operation Desert Shield.

    Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean black-and-white printing, light handling wear, minor creasing, and faint surface marks. Text and imagery remain clearly legible.
