Provenance: Airdropped leaflet acquired from the family of a U.S. military commander.
Translation:
Front: “The Partnership of Nations is here to help.”
Back: “The Partnership of Nations is here to assist the people of Afghanistan.”
Imagery: Front shows a Coalition soldier shaking hands with an Afghan man against a mountainous Afghan landscape, presenting Coalition presence as cooperative and supportive. Back uses a blue text panel with the same message in Dari and Pashto, emphasizing assistance to the Afghan people.
Objective: To frame Coalition forces as allies rather than occupiers, encouraging Afghan civilians to view the international military presence as humanitarian, cooperative, and supportive of Afghanistan’s future.
Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean color printing, light handling wear, minor creasing, and faint surface marks. Text and imagery remain clearly legible.
