    Original double-sided U.S. psychological operations leaflet produced during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Printed in Arabic, the leaflet warns Iraqi personnel to stop repairing military fiber optic cables and states that the cables are targeted for destruction.

    Provenance: Airdropped leaflet acquired from the family of a U.S. military commander.

    Translation:
    Front: “Military fiber optic cables.”

    Back: “For your safety, stop repairing military fiber optic cables. You are risking your life. The cables are tools used by Saddam and his regime to suppress the Iraqi people. These cables are targeted for destruction.”

    Imagery: Front shows Coalition aircraft departing after striking a military fiber optic cable, with a magnified inset identifying the cable. Back contains an Arabic warning message printed inside a red and black bordered panel.

    Objective: To deter Iraqi personnel from repairing military fiber optic communications infrastructure by warning that the cables are targeted for destruction and that repair activity places them at risk.

    Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean color printing, light handling wear, and minor surface marks. Text and imagery remain clearly legible.
