Early Israeli Zionist youth propaganda booklet produced soon after the founding of Israel, it was designed to educate and mobilize Jewish youth around settlement building, combining readings, games, mock trials, maps, model projects, fundraising exercises, and group activities.
Its cover makes the message explicit: a youth figure holds both a shovel and a rifle, linking labor, settlement, and armed defense. Inside, the booklet frames settlement as national duty and teaches youth groups how to campaign for, fund, and symbolically participate in frontier communities.
