Provenance: Surplus copy retained outside field distribution. Acquired from the personal materials of an unnamed U.S. military servicemember. Never airdropped or field-distributed.
Translation:
Front: “Lightning Team. One team, one mission: security for the Iraqi people.”
Back: “My Iraqi friends and partners, I am proud to be here, and we are also eager to work together as one team. Our mission is clear: to extend our Iraqi friendships and partnerships so that security authority can transfer to them. We will continue to keep the Iraqi security forces in command. We will stand beside each other, as equal partners, to ensure that the main goal is achieved: an Iraq free from any threats by terrorists, and that Iraqi citizens and the people of Iraq live their daily lives in safety and peace in a free and prosperous Iraq. I believe that we are capable of accomplishing these goals and dreams for our children. Commanding General, Task Force Lightning.”
Imagery: Front shows U.S. and Iraqi security personnel standing together against a background of military insignia, including a Lightning-themed emblem and airborne insignia. The image emphasizes partnership, joint security, and Iraqi stability. Back contains a formal Arabic message addressed to Iraqi friends and partners.
Objective: To build support for Coalition and Iraqi security cooperation by presenting the mission as a shared effort to transfer authority, defeat terrorist threats, and secure Iraq for its citizens.
Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean color printing, light handling wear, and minor surface marks. Text and imagery remain clearly legible.
