    Original double-sided U.S. psychological operations leaflet produced during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Printed in Arabic, the leaflet tells Iraqi civilians that Coalition military operations are directed at the regime, not the Iraqi people, and instructs them to remain home, avoid Coalition forces, and listen for radio updates.

    Provenance: Surplus copy retained outside field distribution. Acquired from the personal materials of an unnamed U.S. military servicemember. Never airdropped or field-distributed.

    Translation:
    Front: “The proud Iraqi people are not the target of Coalition military operations. The harsh and violent regime is the target of Coalition military operations.”

    Back: “Do not confront Coalition forces. Stay in your homes. For your protection, Coalition forces will impose a curfew. Listen to the radio on the frequencies of Radio Information to learn the latest developments.”

    Imagery: Front shows Coalition military vehicles and aircraft surrounding a central image of Saddam Hussein seated at a meeting table, contrasting the regime as the target with the Iraqi people as protected civilians. Back shows family portraits along the left side beside a bordered Arabic instruction panel.

    Objective: To reassure Iraqi civilians that Coalition military action is directed against Saddam Hussein’s regime, while instructing them to avoid Coalition forces, remain indoors, follow curfew orders, and listen for radio updates.

    Condition: Very good condition. Original example with clean color printing, light handling wear, and minor surface marks. Text and imagery remain clearly legible.
