Metal Art of a poster of Soviet-era Uzbek anti-clerical propaganda from the 1980s, depicting a traditional elder blinded by a giant Qur’an. Produced under state atheism policies in the Uzbek SSR, this poster critiques religious conservatism and portrays Islamic scholars as backward or misguided. It exemplifies the USSR’s broader campaign to suppress religious influence across Central Asia.
