Framed art print of the original hand-painted poster for the 1974 Punjabi romantic comedy Nokar Wohti Da, directed by Haider Chaudhry and starring Munawar Zarif and Aasia. Salvaged from film aficionado Guddu’s archive, its bold brushwork and vivid palette capture the melodrama of mistaken class identities and gender politics. Beloved for its humor and songs, the film became one of 1970s Punjabi cinema’s biggest hits, and this print epitomizes the era’s exaggerated visual storytelling.

Exhibited in “Spasial Program” at SculptureCenter, New York, June 18 –July 28, 2025.
